There are many museums in Paris that house very interesting permanet exhibitions along with the seasonal ones.
Most museums are dedicated to famous artists such as Picasso, or famous artistic movements such as the Impressionist collection in Musée d'Orsay.
Louvre presents a massive collection from the early periods in the history and is the most visited museum in the world.
Generally, in Paris the visitor can find exhibits from the greatest artists in the world and even the most demanding art lover would be satisfied working his/her way through Paris museums and exhibitions.
Additionally, there are plenty of galleries in the city that put on irregular exhibitions of historical and contemporary work. Many masterpieces can be discovered in art galleries, whereas the ‘Centre Pompidou’ is the most famous one amongst them.
During February the Great Wines Fair is a major event that could introduce some of the top wine producers of France taking place at the Carousel du Louvre.
In March, Paris Fashion week presents the most daring Parisian haute couture, with a lot outdoor fun and events.
In May, classic cars race up the Montmartre hill for the Vintage Car Rally. Also, in June the Music Festival de Saint-Denis and Le Carre Rive Gauche take place, when the rue de Bac beside the Seine is bedecked with antiques whereas in mid July Bastille day celebrations occur giving a festive atmosphere in the hot summer days.
The September Autumn Arts Festival includes some of the city's most significant contemporary and performing artists, escorted by an extended jazz festival at Parc de la Villette.
