Palma de Mallorca port is situated at the head of the Bay of Palma on the south coast of the southwestern portion of the island. It is a medium sized port and is capable to host several ships at the same time with a spacious inner harbour. The Spanish Navy has also a bas on the southern edge of the harbor.
In Palma de Mallorca port most of the cruise ships berth in the following two locations:
- Estacio Maritima ferries and cruise pier that is next to the yacht basins and it is around forty minutes walk from the city center.
- The commercial and naval port that is near the fortress at Porto Pi on the western edge of Palma de Mallorca. There is a cruise pier that is about 80 minutes walk from the city center
Palma Harbour is dominant on the seaside of Palma and it is offered for relaxed walks that twill let you to enjoy the fish docks, the luxury marinas and the sea breeze on the hot summer days.
The marina is situated at the centre of Paseo Marítimo and is one of the most modern ones within Spain contradicting Mallorca traditional character. It has 152 moorings for all kinds of boat sizes and wide range of services. The marina has all the necessary facilities and it is very well guarded with plenty of surveillance cameras, security staff, identification barriers and access control room.
There are several smaller ports round Palma. Puerta Portals is where all the celebrities moor they boats and there is a highly cosmopolitan atmosphere and you could also find many designer shops around.
The Port of Andratx offers similar amenities with a more relaxed atmosphere.
