Cala Bona is a unique and very interesting tourist destination, located on the east coast of Mallorca at the district of Son Servera.
It is not a typical vacation resort, as it does not yet have adequate infrastructure to accommodate many big groups. It is a rather characteristic fishing village with stone built houses and small streets, crowded with visitors in the mid-summer season.
This district became a widely requested holiday destination quite recently and it has been developing miraculously ever since.
It offers two equally attractive swimming options; a large sandy beach stretching for almost 2 kms between Cala Bona (i.e. Good Bay) and Cala Millor (i.e. Better Bay) and multiple tiny, feeling almost private, beaches.
Apart from lovely beaches, tourists can also visit one of the beautiful zones of natural environment available in the area that are currently protected. The most popular one is called Punta de n’ Amer.
The nightlife in Cala Bona takes place mostly at hotel bars and hotel parties. However, a few years ago, a variety of local bars was built and new ones are added every year. Moreover, tourists, tourist can usually attend a live performance by “Leapy Lee”, a 1960’s well known singer.
Cala Bona is the ideal place to relax and enjoy the sea. If you are looking for additional activities, the options in Cala Bona are few and mostly offered by the biggest hotels.
A good idea would be to visit some of the attractions in the colourful Cala Millor, located nearby-it is only a 5 minutes tax ride.
