If you are looking for the Majorcan stereotype, Magaluf is the place that definitely should visit most than anywhere else on the island.
There is a remarkable sandy beach where hotels, bars, discos, restaurants and complex of apartments are located. No wonder why Magaluf is crowded with tourists mostly British.
On the other hand, Magaluf is not the place that you can find easily in a guidebook, as mainly people who visit Magaluf come here to relax lying on the beach and have fun going out to the bars and discos.
The place lack of culture and other sightseeing so there is no need to use a guide.
The local council in an attempt to attract tourists from other places and change the character of the resort, pulled down 20 of the most enormous and old fashioned hotels.
Magaluf still remains one of the main destinations of British tourists where they can enjoy the wet T-shirt competitions while the pubs remain crowded till late.
During the period from June to September is the high season of Magaluf. Consequently this time is not suggested for families as some hotels often mention.
On the other hand, in the winter months, the once busy nightspots close down while the hotels address to an older crowd. Bear in mind that the average November temperature is still 18 degrees.
The focal point is the wide, crystal clear and well maintained beach covered with white sand. The resort offers Kite surfing, jet skiing and par ascending along with tennis and karting, plus you should miss the popular Aquacity waterpark on the edge of the resort.
As the variety for evening entertainment is infinite, it is essential to visit the Pirates Adventure themed dinner/show. This place is an excellent choice for a family night, in exception Sunday which is the day for adults only.
Magaluf is not a place known for its culture and the sightseeings but its popularity is among young people, although there are some family- friendly spots towards the edges of the resort.
